Conidium fruit, scientifically called Cnidium monnieri, is a Chinese herb that has been used for over a thousand years for a variety of ailments, including sexual enhancement that to this day is used for this purpose. It grows primarily in China, and other parts of Asia, and interestingly has a pleasant odor, although a bitter taste.

Conidium works by assisting the body in the creation of nitric oxide. It is therefore is effectively used for skin conditions, such as itching and acne. It is also used as an aphrodisiac and a sexual enhancement herb in both male and female formulations. As research continues, conidium fruit shows promise as an anti-allergen and even cancer treatment, specifically leukemia. Some laboratory studies suggest that conidium fruit restores bone strength and with further study may be used for treatment of osteoporosis. The potential of conidium fruit is likely to just be beginning to be discovered therefore these are likely just a few of conidium fruit’s potential benefits.

Today’s research confirms that conidium fruit is in fact effective as a male enhancement herb. It works by relaxing the smooth muscle allowing more blood flow to the penis, which allows for fuller, harder erections. The increased nitric oxide also allows for less of a chance for premature ejaculation, and is recorded as one of the more effective herbs used in the Chinese Emperor’s male enhancement concoctions.

Side effects for conidium fruit are rare however there are some who reported nausea and vomiting. In higher dosages some reported involuntary muscle contraction and even more rarely, seizures. Those taking blood thinners or had liver or heart problems are highly recommended to seek the advice of a physician before adding conidium fruit to their diet.
